The theme of the congress - “Shopping Centres 4.0” - will focus on the shopping centres of the future and on how their formats have adapted over time to meet the needs of consumers and of trade itself. With several sector specialists attending, discussions will address the four building blocks on which new shopping spaces will be built: Space, People, Digitization and Big Data.
Ceetrus Portugal will be at the congress with an exhibition stand, together with the Ceetrus Spain team and the Director of Asset Management, Rui Vacas, who will be a member of a round table which will conduct an appraisal of the sector, which is increasingly required to respond to new consumer needs and desires and will debate the future of shopping centres, a highly dynamic, constantly changing sector.
For Rui Vacas, Ceetrus Portugal’s Director of Asset Management, “this experience will certainly be useful for enriching the development of new projects which must be aligned with the latest market trends. It will also provide us with an opportunity to share our vision, already fully focused on the theme of Shopping Centres 4.0, with other experts. Over time Ceetrus Portugal has been adapting to this new reality in relation to the new needs of lives spaces and of consumers themselves. An example of this concern is the evolution of the company as an investor, promoter and manager of commercial real estate for mixed use projects, with the aim of becoming a Global Urban player and being able to meet those same needs.”
In Portugal Ceetrus has Shopping Centres in Alegro Alfragide, Castelo Branco and Setúbal, Forum in Sintra and Montijo, Sintra Retail Park and the Jumbo shopping galleries in Alverca, Canidelo, Cascais, Famalicão, Maia, Santo Tirso and Sintra.
